THE supegrass fears for his life after being brutally beaten by associates of Eddie Lyons Jnr just after his release from jail. In a chilling telephone call he was told to contact a well-known Glasgow lawyer and confess drugs found on Mr X - the associate of Docherty -were his. If he did not, he and his toddler child would be killed. He did as he was ordered but the lawyer told him it was too late. He was then brutally beaten. He said: "They were in a silver Mondeo estate car and this ginger-haired guy in the front passenger seat asked me if I knew where he could buy some white (cocaine). "I walked over to the car and got a electric cattle prod stuck in the back of my neck. When I came round Eddie Lyons Jnr and another two were beating me. "They stabbed me twice, punctured my lung and slit my scalp with a Stanley knife. "He wrote 'grass' with a black marker pen on my forehead. "But someone must have disturbed them as the next thing I knew I was waking up in Balmore Road, Glasgow. "I staggered to hospital and told them I did it myself. "I'm a dead man walking thanks to the police and prison service. "They have given me nothing after I closed down Docherty's operations. "Nobody wants to know once the deal has been done and they have had their high-profile collar. "I only have a few weeks left before they track me down. I will most likely be killed within a few weeks." | |||
