Glasgow's sickening housing conditions mean that too many tenants are living in Hell while Glasgow City Council does nothing. It is Glasgow 1999 and we have crumbling, damp, decaying and festering houses that Rachman himself would have been proud of.
This Christmas, ordinary families in Possilpark, Ruchill and Maryhill, will face dampness, walls of fungus, and masonry literally collapsing around them.
All around us, houses are left vacant and boarded up, yet this Christmas sees the highest level of Glasgow homelessness since records began.
Those responsible for this have plans to sell off all the land to private housing developers. The tenants of North and West Glasgow will have nowhere left to live. This Christmas, they are left to worry where we will be living next year.
The tenants are effectively under siege:
In the new millennium, it is time we in North and West Glasgow had our right to live as human beings given back to us.
What will our elected councillors, MPs, and MSPs have to say?

full horror of the housing conditions and poverty we have to live with,
